Serve in the Community

As a church, we want to be known for our extraordinary generosity—with both our time and money—toward those in our local community.

Through our partnerships with great local nonprofits and our church's initiatives, we provide opportunities to meet the real needs of our community as we serve together.

  • Manna Cafe

Food insecurity in Montgomery County involves more than 15% of the population (about 28,000 people). The percentage for children is 21.5%, a third of whom are not income-eligible for federal programs such as free school lunches. For this reason, our goal is to FIRST meet people’s basic need for food, and THEN guide them toward positive, permanent change. We do this by distributing over 1.8 million pounds of food a year to local families through:

    • Mobile Cafe - Hot meals served 4 days a week at various locations
    • Food Box Distribution - 30-60lb boxes of groceries distributed 3 days a week from our warehouse
    • Mobile Pantry - a one-day event (in cooperation with Second Harvest Food Bank) during which a trailer truckload of food is distributed to approximately 300 clients
  • Restoring the Warriors Heart loves our militrary! As a church in a military community, we understand the challenges of deployment, seperation, and re-integration. Restoring The Warrior’s Heart (RWH), is a non-profit organization that provides FREE weekend retreats for active duty or retired soldiers and their families. The purpose of these retreats is to provide Christian based support to soldiers and an opportunity to connect with fellow soldiers who are facing the adversities resulting from the military experience.
