Transform, Don't Conform

Paul spends the first part of Romans showing us what God has done through Jesus. We are sinners saved by grace. We are justified by faith. We are no longer slaves to sin. There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ. Then, in Romans 12, Paul shows us what our response should look like. Because of everything God has done, we are called to offer ourselves completely to Him. Not part of our lives. Not only on Sunday. Not an egg here or there. Complete and total surrender. The world is constantly trying to shape us, but God wants to transform us. Culture is like a moving walkway pulling us in one direction. Following Jesus means choosing, every day, to surrender to God and let Him change the way we think, live, love, serve, forgive, and treat others.
